Martha Hayden has made a series of self portraits that reflect upon aging. Self Portraits combined with window landscapes, mirror views and still life highlight the reflective passage of time and represent the introspective reconsidering that is part of growing older. Her paintings are carefully composed, but exuberant in color. She states, “I try to create excitement while ordering chaos.”
